• ISTT Resident Company Produces Electromagnetic Field Shielding Paint

  • Dec. 5, 2018

Experts at Faraz Exir Samin Co., a resident company at Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) have produced paint that can guard humans from electromagnetic fields.

Electromagnetic shielding (EMI shielding) is the practice of reducing the electromagnetic field in a space by blocking the field with barriers made of conductive or magnetic materials.

Electromagnetic fields not only hinder the performance of electrical devices but also pose a threat to the wellbeing of human beings. Radar, Micro and Radio waves and high voltage posts all create health problems for those who live nearby to their source.

With such health incentives the experts at Faraz Exir Samin have attempted to create paint with EMI shielding to safeguard buildings by reducing electromagnetic waves.

This paint is named SUPER-SHIELD-132 and is an electrically conductive single particle thermoplastic applicable to all surfaces in houses, surgery rooms, different medical units, laboratories and buildings with apparatus sensitive to noise.

This paint is easily applicable with the use of normal painting tools including brushes, rollers and sprays and takes the least amount of time to dry on surfaces.

The technology used in the manufacturing of this paint have intentionally induced the pigments to be smaller than 1 micron giving it a special form that leads to better quality in comparison to similar products. One such quality is durability; this paint can withstand a long shelf life and in contrast to other similar products it does not have particle sedimentation.

Also in comparison to other similar domestic paints it has greater shielding properties which lessen the need to apply several coats of paint. Its price also competes very well with similar paints manufactured internationally.

This paint has adequate abrasion resistance and because of its water resistance and weather durability can be used internally and externally. It is applicable to Polymer, Cement, and different building surfaces that dries at room temperatures. Each liter of this paint can cover 7 to 10 cubic meters.

Faraz Exir Samin Co. started its activity at ISTT in 2015 in the field of chemical materials and related projects.

At present ISTT has more than 500 companies settled in its parks and incubators benefitting from its supportive atmosphere and contributing to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Iran.
